Digital Garment Development — CLO 3D
In an increasingly technology-driven design landscape, digital tools have become essential to the evolution of contemporary fashion practice. This work explores the integration of CLO 3D as a platform for translating conceptual design into a fully realized garment, reflecting the growing role of digitalization in the design process.
The corset was developed from initial concept through final visualization, including the creation of digital patterns in Adobe Illustrator and their application within CLO 3D. A custom surface pattern was designed and integrated into the garment to enhance both visual identity and structural emphasis. Using both the 2D pattern window and the 3D simulation environment, the piece was constructed, refined, and fit-tested to accurately represent the silhouette, proportions, and material behavior.
This process highlights the role of digital garment development as both a creative and technical practice, demonstrating precision in construction while allowing for iterative design refinement through virtual prototyping.
